On January 15, 2026, I photographed my first ever rodeo at the Western National Stock Show and Rodeo, and it was an incredibly cool experience. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality stood out as everyone was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely excited to share the event. I met some great people throughout the day, which made the experience even more memorable and comfortable.

The variety of events made the rodeo especially fun to photograph. I was able to capture moments from horse riding, bull riding, and even muttin’ bustin’, all of which brought nonstop energy and personality to the arena. The fast paced action and raw emotion pushed me to stay alert and creative behind the camera. I walked away with some photos I’m really proud of which I shared on Instagram and a new appreciation for rodeo culture and photography.
